Welcome back to the Pinnacle Perspective from Pinnacle AI. Today's update is for the owner who has ever looked at the calendar and thought, why is this counting days when we're not even open? Maybe you require advance notice before someone can book. Maybe you only take certain appointments on certain work days. Or maybe your team has date-specific hours, with some days opened up and others blocked off. Until that counting is right, customers can end up seeing a booking window that doesn't really match when you're available. Now clients can book, view, and manage appointments directly from the client portal. That gives them one place to handle their schedule instead of jumping between emails, booking links, or other tools. And there's a calendar setting that helps make those available dates more accurate. It's called count available days only. When you turn it on, Pinnacle AI skips the days outside your availability schedule when it counts the date range. So if your booking rules include a minimum scheduling notice period, the count starts from the first workday after that notice period ends. In plain English, the calendar is looking at the days you actually work, not just every day on the calendar. You'll find this in the calendar section. Go into settings, then create or edit a calendar. Open booking rules, set your date range, turn on count available days only, and save. This works on meeting calendars, services, and rentals. The available days are counted based on the team or product availability that applies. Date-specific hours are included too. If you add a day through date-specific hours, that day can count toward the booking window. If you block a day through date-specific hours, that day is skipped. Day to day, this matters when someone is trying to book after hours, or when your front counter is closing and nobody has time to explain the schedule over the phone. The portal shows appointment options that respect how your calendar is actually set up. Your team still owns the appointment. This setting just helps control which dates clients can pick.
