Today's update is all about gift cards and appointment payments. Previously, gift cards could only be redeemed through customer-facing checkout flows. That meant the customer needed to go through the checkout process themselves in order to use their available gift card balance. Now, with this update in Pinnacle AI CRM, you can apply a customer's available gift card balance when you're collecting payment on their behalf. That includes charging a saved card or adding a new card during the payment process. Here's how it works. When you're in the calendars section, go to the appointments tab and open the appointment you're collecting payment for. From there, move into the payments tab and choose to collect payment. When selecting the payment method, choose charge a card. You'll now have the option to turn on gift card redemption. Just enter the customer's gift card code, apply it, and then confirm and charge the payment. So instead of asking the customer to redeem the gift card themselves, your team can handle it directly while collecting payment for the appointment. This creates a smoother checkout experience, especially for businesses that often take payments on behalf of customers. It removes extra steps for the customer and helps your team complete appointment billing more quickly. It also makes gift card redemption more consistent. Whether the customer starts the payment or your business does, gift cards now work in a similar way. Partial payments are supported, and clear validation messages help make the process easier to follow. And finally, this update improves payment visibility. Transaction details will show how much was redeemed using the gift card, display any additional payment methods used, and update the associated gift card balance. Overall, this brings gift card redemption into offline calendar payment flows inside Pinnacle AI CRM, giving businesses and customers a more consistent payment experience no matter who initiates the transaction.
